Laidback Mountain Wedding in the Cascade Mountains

From the moment I first started working with Jason and Amber, I was so impressed with how laidback this couple was! They had so much going on on top of planning a wedding, but they handled everything with a simple and carefree approach!

Meet the Stars of this Gorgeous Mountain Wedding, Jason & Amber

Jason and Amber first met while in the army together. When they reached out to me, they were living in Alaska but they were in the process of planning a cross-country move to the south, so they wanted the wedding to take place somewhere in between. They landed on a beautiful mountain retreat in Leavenworth, WA for their wedding venue.

How Jason & Amber Planned a Laidback Mountain Wedding in the Cascade Mountains

Jason and Amber love the little things in life and they wanted their wedding to reflect that. They planned a simple outdoor wedding on a remote homestead in the Cascade mountains. Their wedding plans were centered around the idea of providing a celebration for the ones who had supported them along the way, a beautiful way to express their love and gratitude for everyone around them.

They chose the Brown Family Homestead as their wedding venue. The venue is located near Lake Wenatchee, so it’s super easy to enjoy a gorgeous alpine lake and the views from the property itself.

Jason and Amber’s ceremony happened up in the field, overlooking the surrounding mountains. One of my absolute favorite moments of this wedding was right as Amber was about to walk down the aisle with her dad. She had planned a surprise recorded voiceover thanking her dad for all that he had done for her. Right as they were about to walk down the aisle, the recording started and they paused. Her dad lost it and it was a very beautiful moment between the two of them.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed dinner under an open-air tent complete with toasts and dancing. Many of their friends at the wedding were in the army as well and it was awesome to see them all having so much fun together. Jason and Amber, your wedding day was incredible! Thank you for trusting me and allowing me to be a part of your special day!
