Green & Gold Kiana Lodge Wedding

Forrest and Samantha are both Midwestern transplants now residing in the Pacific Northwest. They met while studying abroad in Germany. Since meeting, they have had the chance to call several different countries home and enjoy traveling. Forrest was raised by two National Park rangers, so naturally they enjoy spending time in the great outdoors. They also enjoy reading and bird-watching together!

They enjoyed incorporating many personal aspects into their Kiana Lodge wedding. The setting was stunning – Pacific Northwest scenery highlighted by their unique wedding colors of green and gold. Forrest proposed to Samantha at a lighthouse, while birdwatching for puffins. It was only fitting that we found the perfect lighthouse setting for their wedding day photos! They also included puffins as cake toppers. The ceremony meaningful and sweet, with just their sisters standing by their sides. During cocktail hour, many guests participated in a game of “Flunkyball” which is a German drinking game that they learned when studying abroad.

This outdoor Kiana Lodge wedding was a perfect reflection of these two as a couple. The vibe was completely relaxed and warm, with everyone having a truly good time. I have always loved the setting at Kiana Lodge. The property sits right on the beach, giving ample opportunity for a quick stroll to the dock and an evening bonfire. Congratulations Forrest and Samantha, and thank you for including me in your special day!
