David and Megan met while both working at the same company in the San Francisco Bay area. An office friendship quickly blossomed into a relationship within the year. Shortly after they made things official, Megan took on an assignment that would put her living and working in Japan for two years. While it wasn’t an ideal situation, their distance only made them grow closer. After four years of dating, David popped the question and they started planning their Snohomish wedding in Washington where Megan grew up.
When they have free time together, David and Megan enjoy hiking and camping. They also love wine tasting in Napa and Sonoma. Getting married in Snohomish was the perfect fit for them. Megan having her family up in Washington made it easier to plan. David’s Texas family got to see everything the beautiful Northwest has to offer.
Their Snohomish wedding took place on a hot day in July. Green Gates at Flowing Lake is a wedding venue situated right on the lake. It has a neighborhood feel, but also can house quite a large party. The barn that the reception took place in is bright and full of natural light. Guests are able to wander inside and out, making it a perfect venue for a summer wedding. David and Megan took advantage of many local Snohomish wedding vendors and the day flew by without a hitch!
