Matt and Devan met while ski racing. They’ve spent basically their whole lives skiing at Crystal Mountain. I was so incredibly excited when they reached out to me about photographing their wedding this September in Winthrop. Not only do I love Winthrop, but our interests coincided when we started telling funny stories about days skiing at Crystal Mountain followed by nights dancing at the Snorting Elk. Staging their engagement session at Crystal Mountain only seemed appropriate! Not only that but went a step further and did skiing engagement photos! Their session started out with a walk into the snowy woods with their fun pups Oly and Maverick. We then snapped a few photos at everyone’s favorite mountainside watering hole, the Snorting Elk. After that we all got our ski gear (well, snowboard for me) on and we went on a little adventure on the slopes! We made our way into Crystal Mountain’s sidecountry. After enjoying the views from the top, we were lucky enough to find some powder out in Silver Basin. This session was such a blast!
