Engagement Session Photo Ideas in Seattle

Tis the season for engagement sessions! I’ve had a blast so far this spring getting outside and capturing some great moments with couples who I will be working with this summer for their weddings. I enjoy engagement sessions not just fosr the beautiful imagery we create together, but also for the extra time I get to spend with each couple before the big day. I get a lot of questions about engagement session photo ideas in Seattle so thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorites here.

What makes me the most excited about shooting engagement sessions is getting to share the special connection that a couple has to a specific place. I’ve photographed couples at the locations of where they got engaged, their first home together, or simply strolling around their neighborhood together. I’ve also traveled to the mountains with couples who love the snow or photographed couples on beaches that they love to frequent. This doesn’t have to be something you overthink, just get out and do you with me by your side. A few favorites around here are Discovery Park engagement photos, North Bend engagement photos, and Alki Beach engagement photos.

Do you enjoy going for walks around your neighborhood, hanging with your pups or visiting a local brewery in your area? Maybe you love your garden or want to remember your current home as it is when you were engaged. Engagement sessions in your home and in your neighborhood add a personal touch to any session – and you’ll be sure that your photos will look like nobody else’s!

Hiking, biking, skiing, climbing – the Northwest offers so many activities. If you love getting outside and exploring together, let’s get adventurous and make it happen! I’ve photographed engagement sessions while snowboarding with couples at Crystal Mountain, hiked trails off of Highway 2 for beautiful mountain engagement photos, and spent time with couples who love to mountain bike in North Bend.

The first time I photographed engagement photos on a ferry I thought – why don’t I do this more often? Not only do the Washington ferries offer great views, they also lead to locations with gorgeous backdrops on the other side.

If you’re married, I’d love to hear where you did your engagement session. I’m always on the hunt for new suggestions and inspiration for my couples!
