Ferry Engagement Session | Nafees & Lindsay

I met Nafees and Lindsay on a random trip last fall that David and I took out to Roslyn, Washington. We had a free weekend and wanted to get away into the mountains. One evening at The Brick (one of the oldest bars in Washington), we happened upon a group of fun people playing shuffleboard and decided to join in. I come to find out that it was Lindsay’s birthday and that she and her fiancé Nafees were in the area looking at Swiftwater Cellars for a potential wedding venue. All of this wedding talk got us chatting as we were recently married ourselves, and I ended up handing her my info before the end of the night. Turns out we are now booked to photograph their wedding in May 2017! It always seems that some of my best clients come from chance meetings and these two are no exception. Their love for each other is so sweet and natural. They laugh a lot and know how to have fun together. I had the privilege of spending another evening with them for their engagement photos. It felt a lot less like a photo session and more like a time of just hanging out and getting to know them more. We had a fantastic time riding the ferry to Bainbridge Island and taking photos at one of the beautiful local beaches. We topped off the evening with some gorgeous views off the ferry at twilight and a glittering Seattle skyline. I’m beyond excited to continue building our relationship with these two as their wedding approaches for next year. 🙂
