Spring Wedding in Teton Village | Andrew & Kathleen

Andrew and Kathleen met in New York City. When trying to decide on a wedding venue, they wanted something that reflected their love of adventure together and also share a new destination with friends and family. Enter the beautiful Tetons of Jackson Hole. Like many destinations, Andrew and Kathleen made a weekend of their Jackson Hole wedding, adding rafting, hiking, and sightseeing to the days surrounding their wedding day.

Their wedding was held at Our Lady of the Mountains right in town. Immediately following we headed up to take some wedding photos in Grand Teton National Park. Since they had decided to forego a first look, this was the perfect time to capture some romantic photos of the two of them on their wedding day. Mother Nature decided to add to the romance with an impending thunderstorm chasing us all the way up the road to the park. The wedding party and the happy couple hopped out of the shuttle for photos at Schwabacher’s Landing, one of the most picturesque locations in the park, with unobstructed views of the Tetons. Snow still capped the peaks as it was early in the season making the landscape that much more breathtaking. As raindrops started pelting, I busted out my trusty wedding day umbrellas and we made the most of the time we had left before heading to the reception.

The funny thing about the Tetons is that thunderstorms never last long. Upon arriving at the reception, guests enjoyed an outdoor cocktail hour in Teton Village. The skies calmed down and everyone enjoyed views of Jackson Hole Mountain Resort and tasty local appetizers. This group seriously knew how to party. Dancing went well into the night as the couple celebrated their first evening as husband and wife. Thank you, Andrew and Kathleen, for including me in your fabulous wedding celebration!
