Bobby and Jenny were married on a beautiful summer day on the MV Skansonia. The lovely couple hails from the state of Hawaii. When Bobby got a job in Seattle, Jenny moved with him and they’ve been building their lives together in the Pacific Northwest ever since. I was fortunate to get to know Jenny through several folks that I met while slinging cocktails in Fremont years ago. Bobby and Jenny are both extremely genuine, kind, and fun-loving spirits. The chose the MV Skansonia, which is an old ferry boat that has been transformed into a beautiful wedding and event space overlooking the Seattle skyline. When planning their wedding, they hoped to incorporate bits of their Hawaiian heritage. Bobby and Jenny chose to deck the place out with pineapples, orchids, and bright tropical colors. Everything had a playful, laid-back island vibe.
The celebration began at Seattle’s famous Volunteer Park on Capitol Hill where we played with confetti and explored the beauty of the park. We then moved on to one of Bobby and Jenny’s favorite haunts, The Roanoke. A little ping pong was played and tequila was sipped while everyone relaxed before heading over to the ceremony. Once arriving at the MV Skansonia, the couple shared heartfelt vows on the bow of the boat and drank and danced the night away. Guests loved sipping their Mai Tai’s while staring out at the incoming lightning storm that entertained well into the evening. We wish these two a huge congratulations and thank them so much for trusting us to capture their special day.
