This fall I started my first ever mini-session event! I have been contemplating the idea for a while now and finally had the time to pull it all together. Mini-sessions are just what they sound like – mini versions of a portrait session with me. They are perfect for the family or couple looking for an updated photo for their holiday cards or fantastic for families with pets or young kids that don’t have long attention spans. My event was held on October 29 at Discovery Park when the leaves were at their brightest. I held a series of family portraits for all of the groups that signed up. While the weather wasn’t the nicest to us, we had plenty of umbrella space and rain gear and everyone had a great time! I don’t always advertise family portraits, I definitely take them and love working with little kids! I’m sure the addition of a little one to our lives will also make me more inclined to work with lots of families 🙂
As we welcome the Thanksgiving holiday tomorrow, I am really thinking a lot about what this time of year is all about. To me, the holidays are a special time to spend with friends and family. I am not fortunate enough to have my family in the state and this year am unable to fly due to being 34 weeks pregnant. Luckily my husband has family in town and we all get together for a giant feast with family and friends that don’t have relatives in Seattle. I hope that everyone has the opportunity to spend the holiday with someone they love this year.
In honor of family, I’m excited to share these sweet family portraits of Hannah and Jim with their adorable little ones. I do truly hope this holiday brings you lots of joy with good food, fun, and time with family. Happy Thanksgiving!
