Fall is such a gorgeous time for family photos, and it’s no surprise that I kept particularly busy this fall with the amazing weather that we had. Seattle had an unseasonably warm and sunny fall season and everything lined up just perfect. The leaves were in amazing abundance and we were blessed with clear skies for days. I had quite a few family photo sessions around the city and so enjoyed working with each family. Today I’m sharing photos of Nate, Carolyn and Lily. I went to college with Carolyn – she was a cheerleader at the University of Washington while I was the baton twirler. Since college, she has worked as a graphic designer and now owns her own freelance business, Anchored Paper Co., designing invitations, custom calligraphy for signs and other wedding displays, and branding. I’ve been working with her on some updates for my business (coming soon!) and she is just so talented! It’s been pretty cool connecting with her over the work-life balance that is being a mama and an entrepreneur. While we both consider ourselves really lucky, we can both agree that it’s definitely not easy! Carolyn and her husband Nate have the sweetest little girl, Lily, who turned two on the day of this photo session. This little girl is so full of energy and definitely kept me on my toes! We went to Greenlake, where the sun was shining bright and the piles of fall leaves were perfect for Lily to play in. I had such a great time, and thanks Carolyn for letting me spend some time with you and your sweet family on Lily’s birthday!
