Meet Sarah & Ben, the Stars of this Oregon Hiking Wedding

When I first met Sarah and Ben, they described themselves to me as “very outdoorsy, simple people.” They wanted their wedding to reflect who they were and include their favorite things: loved ones and nature! It was very important to them that their wedding did not put on any type of show, so much so that they almost decided to elope. Having friends and family surrounding them on their wedding day was very important to them though, so they decided on an intimate hiking wedding with a small ceremony in Hood River, Oregon. 

Sarah & Ben’s Intimate Hiking Wedding in Hood River, Oregon

Sarah and Ben’s intimate Oregon wedding took place at Crag Rat Hut in Hood River. The couple had initially planned for their wedding to be in Leavenworth, however, some complications with the venue altered their plans. They decided on this venue in Hood River as they used to live in Eugene, Oregon. This new location allowed them to revisit a state and area that they love, making their day even more special.

Sarah and Ben invited 30 of their closest friends and family to spend the weekend together at the lodge finishing off the weekend with their wedding ceremony and reception. They kept the decor to a minimum keeping the focus on nature and letting the candid moments shine through.

One of the things I loved most about Sarah and Ben’s wedding was that instead of a traditional timeline, the couple did what they wanted. After they got married, they took off and did a short hike together. This gave them the perfect opportunity to reflect on the day and spend some quality time as a newly married couple.
