James and Kelsey met while working at Triangle X Ranch one summer. Kelsey was a wrangler and James a fishing guide. They got engaged there and found it only fitting to plan their wedding there as well. James is also a ski instructor at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort, so winter is a favorite time of year. Their Jackson Hole winter wedding had not one dull moment. The forecast was predicting a massive winter storm rolling through over the weekend. On the way to the wedding, the shuttle transporting guests from the town of Jackson to the wedding venue was delayed by a herd of hundreds of bison crossing the road. That didn’t stop them though, and they held their ceremony outdoors while the thermometer read 12 degrees Fahrenheit. They passed out handwarmers to keep everyone warm. The ceremony was short and meaningful, and afterwards everyone warmed up in the cabin. Wine was poured, toasts were had, and the party continued as a blizzard started to ensue outside. My drive back to town that night was quite an adventure. The snow was coming in thick, with hardly any visibility at times on the highway. Everyone made it back safe though, and James and Kelsey were left with incredible memories from a very Wyoming winter wedding.
