Intimate Olympic National Park Elopement with No Guests

A Wild, Just-the-Two-of-Us Elopement in Olympic National Park | Evie & Kevin

Evie and Kevin traveled all the way from Ohio to elope in Olympic National Park. They were chasing a place they had dreamed about visiting for years. What they planned was something deeply meaningful: a full, immersive day exploring the park together, just the two of them. No guests, no pressure, just space to experience it all. It felt like Olympic at its best.

A Mountaintop Ceremony at Hurricane Ridge

We began their day up at Hurricane Ridge, where the mountains were fully showing off – sunny, warm, and glowing in that late summer way that makes everything feel a little extra golden. This is where they chose to share their ceremony. With no guests present, the moment felt incredibly intimate. Just the two of them standing together in the alpine, surrounded by sweeping views, fully in it. One of the things I love about these kinds of days is how flexible they can be. Instead of structuring everything around a timeline, we let the moment lead. They took their time with their vows, soaked it all in, and really got to be present with each other in a way that’s hard to replicate in a more traditional setting.

What It Actually Looks Like to Elope Without Guests

Evie and Kevin chose to elope completely on their own, which is something more couples are leaning into lately, and for good reason. In Washington, you do need an officiant and two witnesses to make things legal. So for their day, I stepped in as their officiant (yes, I am ordained!) and signed their marriage license. Later on, we found two kind strangers along the trail who were more than happy to witness and sign as well (one of my favorite parts of the day, honestly. There’s something really fun and human about it!). It’s simple, low-stress, and still completely official. And it allows couples like Evie and Kevin to focus on what they actually want their day to feel like.

Wandering the Shores of Lake Crescent

After the mountains, we made our way down to Lake Crescent where we traded alpine views for the crystal clear blues that Olympic does so well. We wandered along the shoreline and took our time. It’s one of my favorite transitions to build into a timeline – moving from big, expansive views into something quieter and more grounded. It gave them space to breathe, reset, and just be together before heading to the coast. They even shared a toast at the cute little bar inside of Lake Crescent Lodge!

Tidepool Exploring at Rialto Beach & Hole in the Wall

We wrapped their day out at Rialto Beach, hiking out to Hole in the Wall just as the weather shifted again – this time into that classic coastal fog and mist. Completely different energy from the morning! And honestly? Perfect. Evie and Kevin were especially excited about the tide pools, and this stretch of coast absolutely delivered. Sea stars, anemones, little creatures tucked into every pocket of rock – it felt like its own little world out there. We took our time exploring, stopping often, letting curiosity lead the way. It’s one of those experiences that turns an elopement day into something more than just a ceremony, it becomes an adventure!

A Custom Olympic National Park Experience in One Day

Evie and Kevin booked a custom six-hour elopement package that gave them the space and time to experience three completely different landscapes in a single day – mountains, forest, and coast – without ever feeling rushed. From sun and warmth at Hurricane Ridge to cool mist along the ocean, they got the full range of what Olympic National Park can offer. And more importantly, they got a day that felt entirely like them. Intentional, flexible, a little adventurous, and deeply personal.

Planning Your Own Just-the-Two-of-You Elopement

If you’re dreaming about eloping without guests, days like Evie and Kevin’s are exactly why it can be such a meaningful choice. You get to move through the day at your own pace, explore places you’ve always wanted to see, and create something that feels true to your relationship without outside expectations. And yes! You can absolutely still make it legal (I’ve got you there too).
