Rose and Daren met through a mutual friend who accidentally agreed to go on a date with Daren and brought Rose along to make it a group hangout. Daren had the same idea and brought his friend along as well. Rose and Daren ended up hitting it off and Daren asked Rose to go out on a date the next day. After being together for three years, Daren proposed to Rose at a ruined castle along the Danube in Slovakia. They are passionate about travel most of all and have seen many parts of the world together. Outside of traveling, they love reading, playing video games, and go to bar trivia with friends every week. They also have an adorable chihuahua named Fleur who will be the “flower girl” in their wedding!
We got together for their fall engagement photos in the Washington Arboretum a very cold morning in November. Despite the cold, the sun was shining bright and eventually melted some of the frost lining the trails. The fall colors were beautiful and I really enjoyed spending time with the three of them. Puppy Fleur was quite chilly so she required quite a bit of snuggling during the session. 🙂 I can’t wait to photograph their intimate wedding this weekend in Ballard! What are some other locations you love for fall engagement photos?
