Jeff and Maggie met each other in graduate school at the University of Virginia, where they both received PhDs in the biomedical sciences. They met through a mutual group of friends and bonded over yard and bar games. They went out for pizza on their first date and the rest was history. They chose Brown Family Homestead for their mountain wedding because it struck that perfect balance of outdoor landscapes, small family venue, and rustic farmhouse feel. The venue speaks for itself and doesn’t require embellished decoration to make the site standout. Decor was simple, and they even grew their own wildflowers for centerpieces! The bridesmaids and groomsmen were dressed in berry and navy, almost perfectly matching the color of the wildflowers all over the property that day. They had a smaller wedding, surrounded by their closest family and friends from the PNW all the way to Virginia. It was a joy to be a part of their wedding and day and I wish them the best in life and marriage!
