I had the best time photographing Chris and Kim at their Stevens Pass engagement session. These two are from Des Moines and are passionate about the outdoors and spending time together snowboarding at Stevens Pass. Usually I take some time to scout out locations before an engagement session but these two had a number of favorite spots along Highway 2 that are special to them already. Chris’s grandmother owns a cabin in the adorable little town of Skykomish. They’ve spent numerous holidays growing up together as a family there and most weekends in the winter snowboarding. Summers are spent along the river, cliff jumping and floating. Winter weekends are spent skiing at the pass, just 20 minutes away. When Chris met Kim, he introduced her to this fabulous little family cabin and the rest is history. They’ve created so many memories together exploring the mountains around the cabin and I was so grateful that they shared some of these meaningful places with me. I’m beyond excited to continue capturing Chris and Kim’s connection and photograph their wedding on the beach in Des Moines, WA next year. As a couple, they are perfect together. Laid back, kind, and best of all, they make each other laugh. I had to laugh as we were getting ready for photos at the ski resort. Kim said that all she really wanted to wear was a flannel and a beanie – I knew we would have no problem getting along after that! I hope you enjoy viewing the photos from this session as much as I loved taking them. Congrats to an amazing couple!
I absolutely love photographing engagement sessions in the mountains. To book a session with me, email amy@amygalbraith for pricing and availability.
