Snoqualmie Engagement | Scott & Lindsey

It’s that time of year – no, not the holidays, but it’s engagement season! Between booking multiple weddings for next year, shooting a proposal last week, and also this recent Snoqualmie engagement session, love is certainly in the air. I’m getting so excited to meet all of the new brides and grooms getting married next year and to see what the new year brings. Today, I bring you a lovely autumn engagement session. Scott and Lindsey are planning their wedding for next August at Camp Korey. I feel like I already have a pretty special connection with these two. Last summer I photographed Scott’s sister’s wedding on Bainbridge Island and Scott and Lindsey both played an important part in the logistics of his sister’s Stevens Pass engagement session. They hiked with us and carted up all of the wardrobe options. I could tell at that time that these two had great energy and would probably end up tying the knot themselves one day. And so they are! Scott proposed to Lindsey while they were on a weekend trip in Leavenworth and the rest is history.

For their engagement session, we definitely pictured something that showcased some of the Northwest’s beautiful mountains. Without wanting to drive too far, we explored the area around the city of Snoqualmie. Scott’s sister had helped find some great locations and views beforehand. We showed up to a stunning clear day with endless views of Mt. Si. We spent a bit of time exploring down by the Snoqualmie River then made our way to enjoy the stunning views of the sun’s golden rays lighting up the flanks of Mt. Si. As the sun dipped behind the hills, we had ourselves quite the show of a herd of elk. Overall I’d say it was a pretty magical day in the mountains and I’m so glad I got to spend it with these two!
